Fall Outfit Inspiration! Leather and Plaid

I decided to put together some outfits for a kind of look-book for you guys! As you may already know, plaid and leather are huge trends this season, so I decided to show you guys how to wear it!

Outfit 1: Add a Fun Accessory! In this outfit I kept everything very simple and comfy with jeggings, an embellished navy blue shirt, and a gray cardigan. I then added a giant plaid scarf for some color!

Outfit 2: Mix and Match. For this outfit, I went a bit edgy with an embellished flannel, a pleather skirt, fun tights, and heeled wedges.

Outfit 3: Dress it up. This outfit is my favorite! It is so simple, yet so pretty. I just paired a black dress that has a pleather skirt with black over the knee socks and black riding boots.

Outfit 4: Preppy. This outfit is a combination of an embellished peter pan collar shirt with plaid shorts, knee high socks, and navy blue ballet flats.

Fashion Focus Saturdays!

Hey everyone! I want to introduce something to everyone: Fashion Focus! Fashion Focus is a program I am a part of that teaches confidence through modeling to young ladies. I joined this program a year ago, and I am head over heels in love with it! I used to be so shy before I started at Fashion Focus, but now I am barely shy at all, and I even have a blog and youtube channel! The owner, Maria Wood, has taught me so much! I have learned everything from skincare and makeup basics, to public speaking and social etiquette! Girls from every where all over the South Shore area of Massachusetts come to attend this program that is located in Pembroke, MA. If you live in this area and think that Fashion Focus sounds like something you are interested in, definitely check it out!

Last weekend, I attended the level one teen class to share with you guys more about what students learn at Fashion Focus. The class I attended was all about runway modeling for beginners, and is a fabulous class to learn from. Before the girls started rocking the runway, Maria gave them all a talk about poise, posture, and confidence; all three very important values at Fashion Focus.

Maria explaining the importance of poise, not only on the runway, but in real life too.
Then teen student and Fashion Focus veteran Sam showed the teen one student how balance a book on your head while walking the runway. This helps students practice poise, posture, and confidence all at once on the runway. After Sam was done, the students had a chance to try it out!

Sam doing a fabulous job of showing all three values, poise, posture, and confidence,
 while balancing the book.

After that it was time to teach the students some poses and turns. This is what they learned:

Black Dog Ginger Snaps!

Hello! Today I am going to share a recipe with all of you. But this isn't just any recipe, this the recipe for the best cookies in the world! At my school, you make these cookies in Foods and Nutrition class and it is known throughout the school that they are sensational! What are these cookies? Homemade Ginger Snaps! This recipe is from The Black Dog. Here it is:

Here is the PDF version for you to print out! Click here.
Some of these instructions are more complicated than they need to be. For example, if you don't have a food processor, like the recipe calls for in instruction 2, don't sweat it! I do not personally have one, so I just use a blender on a low setting for maybe ten seconds.

For instruction number four, if you do not have a strainer, they are really cheap at places like Walmart or Target! If you do not want to go out to get one, I think a coffee strainer would work pretty well.
Me, straining the ginger.
Fresh ginger root.
What they should look like when they're done!

Sorry I have been away for so long! The reason why I have been away is a story I will have to share with you later.
